How to add the sound, step by step
- Download the MP4. Save the vertical video from the result page or My history.
- Upload it in TikTok. Tap +, choose the saved video and go to the editing screen.
- Add the sound. Tap Add sound, search for the trend sound and confirm it.
- Turn the original audio down. Set the video's own sound to zero and choose the section of the sound you want.
- Preview and post. Check the timing against the stare and the curtain, then publish.
Why the video doesn't have the trend sound
The video is generated from your photo with AI-made ambient sound. It does not include the audio that people use on the original trend, so you add that in the app you post to. The platform handles the licensing and your post links to the sound.
Line the sound up with the video
In the sound editor, choose the section of the sound you want and preview it. The video runs about 15 seconds: the camera zooms in, he eats and stares, spots the camera around the ten-second mark, then closes the curtain, so line the sound's punchline up with the stare or the curtain.
If the video's own sound clashes, open the volume control and set the original sound to zero while keeping the added sound audible. Button names and locations vary by app version and country.
